Nigeria on Monday recorded 675 new cases of the novel coronavirus. This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on its official twitter handle @NCDCgov.

The new cases bring the country’s total reported cases, since February, to 20,919, just a little less than 21,000 in less than four months when Nigeria recorded her first index case involving an Italin in Lagos on February 27.

According to the health agency, 7,109 patients have been successfully treated and discharged while the virus has killed 525 in the country.

Expectedly, Lagos state recorded the highest number of new cases with 288, three times that of Oyo which was second with 76.
