Pray For Your Country, Okowa Urges Nigerians

Delta State Governor Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has urged Nigerians to continue to pray for God to turn things around for good for the country. Governor Okowa gave the charge a in a goodwill message at a One Day National Prayer Rally for the South-South zone, organised by members of Nigeria Prays with the theme : "Possessing the Land" in Asaba .

The Governor who thanked the former Head of state and chairman of Nigeria Prays, General Yakubu Gowon for his continued intercession for the betterment of Nigeria as a nation, noted that the initiative was impactful as Nigeria would be set on the path to glory.

“We must continue to trust God; and look unto God in our daily lives “he said .

“It matters that members of this group are from different parts of this country and even as we leave here today, we must continue to pray for our country and God will heal our land

“It is a message of truth, a message of salvation, and a message of unity for our country, Nigeria" the Governor added.

On his part the Chairmen of Nigeria Prays, General Yakubu Gowon, thanked the Governor for the support towards the programme in the State and also finding time to attend the rally.

The One Day Prayer Rally featured intercession prayers for the security of the nation, leaders at all levels as well as institutions and various sectors of the Nigeria nation.
