Seyi Makinde eulogises Ladoja At 75 • Says He’s Great, Visionary Leader

Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has eulogized former Governor and a High ranking Chief of Ibadanland, Chief Rashid Ladoja as he celebrated his 75 birthday, describing him as a “great and visionary leader and father (figure)”.

In a tweet in his verified twitter handle @seyiamakinde, the

Governor said “Happy 75th birthday to The Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland. High Chief Rashid Adewolu Ladoja. A great leader and father, thank you for the love, support and guidance.

“Baba, I wish you many more happy and peaceful years in good health.”

He apparently found time later in the evening to pay the Chief a visit wherein he later tweeted around 20.29 that “This evening, we visited our visionary Leader, High Chief Rashid Adewolu Ladoja as he celebrates his 75th birthday”.

The picture of Governor Makinde being welcomed by Chief Ladoja, wherein the Governor removed his cap to greet the elder statesman, caught the attention of twitter users who praised the humility of the Governor and his respect for elders.

Man must have 4goten he's gov or chose 2 dispense with his personality as gov 2 HV had his cap removed in his hands while trying 2 exchange pleasantries with Chief Ladoja”.

The tread continued with many praying for and lauding Governor Seyi’s down to earth approach to governance in the Pace Setter State.
