Lionel Messi scored twice to seal Spur’s 4-2 defeat in Wednesday’s Champions League match at Wembley.

Philip Continho had opened the flood gate in the second minute before Ivan Rakitic slammed home the second in the 28th minute.

However, Tottenham came back after the interval like hungry lions and their efforts paid off when Harry Kane scored to reduce the deficit.

This spurred Barcelona to react with with Messi finding the net after hitting the post twice.

Again, Erik Lamela pulled Tottenham back to within a goal few minutes later and are pressing for their third when Barca hit back with Messi showing so much composure to beat Hugo Lloris in the final minutes of the match.

Barcelona now has six points -same as Inter Milan- while PSV and Spur are still yet to get their first points.
