EFCC gets N500m for office maintenance

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved N500 million for the maintenance of the newly commissioned 10 storey headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja.

The approval was announced at the end of the FEC meeting presided over by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday.

DailyTrust reported that the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu told State House reporters that the approval was for the maintenance of the structure.

Garba Shehu said FEC also approved N459m for the procurement of 700 computers, 100 lap tops and 25 printers.

The council, according to Shehu also approved the purchase of 15 utility vehicles for the enhancement of the commission’s operations in the country.
